No work on Monday means Whoa! on a Sunday.

Nobody likes a Monday......unless it's a bank holiday monday and there is no work.

Oh yes, Sunday 4th April sees Say Whoa! do what it does best and have a big ol' knees up on a Sunday night to celebrate the fact there is no work the next day.

Last years bank holiday parties were possibly our biggest and best, please check the videos below if proof is needed, and this year we return to do it all again.

This party will see Say Whoa! get back to its best so expect bubbles, sweets, glowsticks, decor, a very drunk Captain Kerk and some damn fine music.

For more details and to RSVP click here. See you at the bar!

*** If you are interested in playing a set on the night, send ‘Say Whoa!’ a message on Facebook and we’ll get right back to you ***

Say Whoa is all about bringing people together and with this in mind they have created the ‘... and friends stage’. This stage, located downstairs in Rhino Club, is an audio lottery as the lineup is as broad as a bean. We’ve pulled in all our close friends who also happen to be great DJ’s to play a set each of their favourite music spanning a vast array of genres. Already on the bill we have Back 2 Basics resident and party master Ben Owens. We are also very excited to have Deejay Budd coming down to play a seriously cheese free hip hop set digging out all that good stuff from around '92.

❚❚❚❚ THE MARKETPLACE ❚❚❚❚
Located behind the Rhino Main Stage, you’ll find our magical little marketplace. Here you can get yourselves a whole host of goodies including cakes, your face painted, fancy dress/ accessories, free energy drink after 3am, glow sticks and a few more surprises!

❚❚❚❚ WINCHESTER STREET ❚❚❚❚
Connecting the two venues will be Winchester Street. We have a whole host of surprises for you including festival decor, lighting, a smoking area that will be second to none this year and loads more fun surprises and entertainment TBA.

We are still working on a few things but as soon as they are confirmed we will let you know.

Say Whoa! Presents: Masquerade Party 23/10/09

So, it's approaching that time of the month again to hear the bass and Say Whoa!

This month we're throwing a masquerade party because Doc McCoy watched Stanley Kubrick's 'Eye's Wide Shut' not too long ago and the repeated sex, spanking and drinking reminded him of Say Whoa! SO... We thought we'd throw to two together and make a night of it!

In preparation you can make a mask, buy a mask, pull that mask out of the back of your cupboard as anything goes. If you like your face more than your mask, bring it along anyway and wear it on the back of your head and as always, our resident face painter Nina, will be on hand to paint some slick designs all over your chevy chase! We're all about having a lot of fun here at Say Whoa to some beats, bleeps, synths, bass and bad ass acapellas so jump in and get involved!

As usual you can trust Say Whoa residents Doc McCoy, R-Kid and i-Dope to bring you the freshest new tracks as well as much loved classics with some mash ups, party breaks, fidget, dub step and more thrown in just for good measure. Glo sticks are available and Stacy the smoke machine will be back in full force to help transport you to a really ravey place.

So in summary, with great drink deals, cutting edge music and damn good vibes all for a few nuggets... You can't go wrong.

See you on the dancefloor.

For all information and to rsvp CLICK HERE

Time: 9pm - 2am
Venue: Orange Rooms, Southampton
Entry is £2 after 9pm and £3 after 10pm
Dress code: Masquerade (not mandatory but join the fun and throw caution to the wind)

It Was Bananas!!

So as you might have guessed from previous posts we had Sammy Bananas come and help us celebrate our 1st birthday on the 18th September. The hype was real and it WENT OFF! So a big thanks to Sammy for playing a sick, sick set going from party to electro to dubstep which is exactly how we like it here at Say Whoa! As ever the Whoa massive turned out in force rocking the right colour theme and made Orange Rooms a sea of yellow. Stay tuned to Say Whoa! as we have 2 parties this month which we are very excited about.

New Chromeo Single “Night By Night”

I for one have been waiting a very long time for this, Chromeo's brand new track and first original since 2007's seminal album 'Fancy Footwork'. The new jam is titled "Night by Night" and is available for free over at Green Label Sound. As you would expect from Dave 1 & P-Thugg, it's 80's... It's very 80's with that classic snare sound, driving synths, soaring guitars and catchy vocal hooks. Oh and not forgetting their now signature vocoder. If you EVER get a chance to see these guys live, do it... do it at any cost and I assure you won't be disappointed.

Remixes from Skream and & Siriusmo to follow. How exciting!

Stay fresh!
Doc McCoy
